This site (opentowork.lol) is a personal portfolio project run by Evgenii Zotkin. This page explains what limited data the site handles and why. The short version: it collects as little as possible, sells nothing, and exists mostly so an AI assistant can't be abused for free.

What data is collected

Google account info (only if you sign in). If you choose to sign in with Google to use the AI assistant, Google shares your name, email address, and profile picture with this site. Signing in is optional - the rest of the site works without it. Basic technical data - like most websites, standard request information (such as IP address and browser type) is processed to keep the service running and to rate-limit the AI assistant so one person can't run up the bill. AI assistant messages - text you type into the assistant is processed to generate a reply (see "Third parties" below). Hire-form submissions - if you fill out the hire form, whatever you enter (company name, website, your email address, and your answers) is stored in the site's database and also emailed to me - so I actually see it and can reply. Submitting the form also sends one automatic confirmation email to the address you entered, from an unattended noreply@ mailbox - your address isn't used for anything else. No analytics or advertising trackers are used. No data is sold, ever.

Why it's collected

To let you sign in and use the AI assistant. To prevent abuse (rate-limiting the assistant, tied to your signed-in account). To operate and secure the site. To receive, review, and reply to hire-form submissions.

Third parties your data may reach

Google - handles sign-in (OAuth). See Google's own privacy policy. Anthropic - the AI assistant sends your typed messages to this provider to generate replies. Don't type anything private into it. Amazon Web Services (AWS) - hosts the site and its infrastructure, including delivery of notification emails (SES). Ko-fi - if you choose to donate, payment is handled entirely by Ko-fi; this site never sees your card details.

Cookies

The only cookie this site sets is a sign-in session cookie, created when you log in with Google. It's strictly necessary to keep you logged in and is not used for tracking or advertising. If you don't sign in, no cookie is set. (If analytics are ever added in the future, this page and a consent notice will be updated accordingly.)

Data retention

Sign-in sessions are short-lived and expire automatically. AI assistant conversations are not stored on the server after your reply is generated - they live only in your browser during your visit. Rate-limiting records expire automatically after a short period. Hire-form submissions are kept until I process or delete them; email me at evgeniizotkin0@gmail.com to have yours removed.

Your rights

Depending on where you live (e.g. under GDPR or CCPA), you may have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data, or to object to its processing. Since almost nothing is stored server-side, the simplest way to remove your data is to sign out. For any request, email evgeniizotkin0@gmail.com and it will be handled.

Children

This site is not directed at children under 16 and does not knowingly collect their data.

Changes

This policy may be updated; the "Last updated" date will reflect any changes.
